7 things about my childhood!

1) One thing I regret the most in my life was when I ripped my sister’s “personal diary” that she was making for school when she was in 5th grade. She putted so much effort in it and I didn’t give a shit because I was 5 years old.

2) There was these pop-sicle that my dad bought when I was around 8 years old at Costco and they were really yummy (cotton candy flavored, chocolate, bubblegum, sherbet and more). I’m sad that we never found them again. They were the perfect stuff to eat while I was on my swing in the backyard.

3) My parents always told me that Soleil, my first cat, ran away from home and never came back. The true story is that he tried to run away and hid under my neighbor’s car when she was heading to the bus stop. She didn’t want to miss the bus so she let the cat there. The neighbor told my parents that they didn’t know the cat was ours so they gave it to someone who was passing by the street. Wtf. I loved Soleil, he was a true NHL fan.

4) My parents were anti-video games. But when I was 6, I finally got my first console. An old Super Nintendo that was my cousins’. I spent my whole childhood playing Yoshi’s Island, Star Wars, Super Mario: All Star, Donkey Kong Country 1 and Donkey Kong Country 3.

5) When my neighbor hung himself in his shed when I was 7, my parents obviously didn’t tell me until a week after. Even if the ambulances and the police were there, I didn’t quite understand what was happening. Their two sons were in my basement, crying for about an hour there why I didn’t give a fuck because I was playing Yoshi’s Island.

6) I used to tell everyone that I was a pirate when I was 5. I really wanted to do this job in the future and my cousins were really looking at me as if I was an alien. I didn’t change I think.

7) I used to make the people laugh when we went to the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal when I was 4. I was really expressive about what I saw even if I didn’t quite understand what was depicted on the art. There was a painting of a rich little boy on the wall with those wigs and he had some kind of toy in his hand. I told my mom really loud: ” WHY IS THIS LITTLE GIRL EATING PIZZA?”. And then there was a painting of this clown on the wall and I also said really loud in the room:”NOW THAT’S WHAT I LOVE!”. Apparently, there was people following us just to see all of my reactions to the paintings.
